Midge Ure



Happy Birthday to Scottish singer\songwriter and producer, Midge Urge who is 65 today.

In the 1970s and 80s, Midge found success playing in bands such as Silk, Thin Lizzy, Visage and frontman for Ultravox.  In 1984, Midge co-wrote and produced "Do They Know It's Christmas' which sold 3.7 million copies.  Making it the second highest selling single in UK chart history. Midge also helped organise Live Aid with Bob Geldof.
