Famous Shoes

With Kenneth Branagh's Cinderella hitting the big screens, it got me thinking of what other shoes have been made famous through film or song.

Cinderella's glass slippers 2015
Dorothy's Red slippers - Wizard of Oz

Olivia Newton-John - Grease

Julia Roberts - Pretty Woman

Carrie Bradshaw - Sex in the City (Manolo Blahnik)

Captain Jack Sparrow
The Wonder of Walnuts

Did you know that eating walnuts can delay grey hairs?  Apparently walnuts are rich in biotin, Vitamin E and omega oils and have traces of copper which is a mineral that produces melanin ,which is the pigment tat gives hair colour.

Cream Tea at the Royal Norfolk

Thanks to the Daughter, we were treated to a champagne cream tea at the Royal Norfolk (formerly the home of the Duke of Norfolk - hence the name) in Bournemouth.  Not a bad way to start the week I have to say.

That was me a moment ago trying to squeeze into my skinnies :(

Laura Wells - A Perfect 14

Beautiful Australian, Laura Wells is, unbelievably, regarded as a plus model.   Laura is a size 14 and looks healthy and has a figure which young women will feel is attainable through sensible eating and exercise.  We need more of these girls in our magazines.
