Hardy Country Exhibition As a huge fan of local author, Thomas Hardy, I am off to Dorchester today to visit Duke's Gallery . It is the last day to view the artist, John Everett's rare collection of local landscapes before they are auctioned. John Everett was close friends with Thomas Hardy and they lived only 3 miles apart. These paintings were found in a trunk in a bathroom when they had been left since 1925 when they were shown at the Camera Club in London.
