Cottage Fit for a Hobbit

Stockford Lodge located near Wareham is up for sale and how sweet it is too.

This tiny one-bedroomed cottage, which looks like it has come out of "Lord of the Rings" was once the gatehouse to an estate where a member of the family was supposed to have been the inspiration for James Bond.  It was also owned by the famous artist, Augustus John.

The current owner's husband was born in the cottage after his mother had been evacuated in the War.  He later bought it firstly as a holiday home and then to reside their permanently.

The cottage comes with 2 acres of land, a stream and a summer house and is on the market for £399,950.
