History of the Bullet Bra


In the 1940s, Frederic Mellinger opened a shop on Hollywood Boulevard which would go on to change lingerie for ever.  Mellinger introduced black lingerie to the USA as well as creating the first push-up bra.




A few years later, the Chansonette bra also known as the bullet bra which would be favoured by Hollywood actresses and pinups in the 1950s.
