American-born, Betty Brosmer, is considered to be the first true supermodel and was the highest paid pin up girl in the 1950s.  Betty appeared in hundreds of magazines and was the first model to own the rights to many of her photos.  

Betty was the forerunner to the likes of Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield.  Her tiny 18" waist which is speculated that she had a little assistance from corset training, gave her the title of "The most gorgeous body of the 50s".  After marrying bodybuilder and entrepreneur Joe Weider she began a long career in health and fitness which she is still very much involved with today.
