Woman in Famous VJ Kiss - Time's Square has Passed Away

Greta Zimmer Friedman, the young lady in the iconic VJ Celebrations Kiss has died at the age of 92.

Greta was 21 years old and working as a dental assistant when she was kissed by the sailor George Mendosa in Time's Square.  The picture was taken by the famous photographer, Alfred Eisenstaedt.
