Lone Star Meteor Boat


I came across this really cool vintage boat.   

Lone Star Boat Manufacturers were founded in Texas in 1945 by 2 brothers, Lamar and William Moody.  The following year, the company was sold to a R W McDonnel who employed 30 staff.  By 1948, the number of staff employed grew to 200 and in 1953, the Lone Star appeared at the Chicago Boat Show for the very first time and continued until 1979.
