British Tattoo Art Exhibition


Tomorrow is your last chance to see the touring British Tattoo Art Exhibition which leaves Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard tomorrow.  With over 400 original artwork, photographs and historic artefacts, the exhibition offers a comprehensive history of British tattooing. 




Also on display are the works from Britain's first professional female tattoo artist, Jessie Knight who in 1921, at the age of 18 started tattooing when she took over her father's tattoo shop in Barry, South Wales whilst he went off to sea.
