Christy Walton is the 9th richest person in the world.  Widow to the late John Walton, her father-in-law was Sam Walton, founder of Wal-Mart.  She is worth $36.7 billion.



Lillian Bettencourt is the richest person in France.  She is the principal shareholder of L'Oreal which was founded by her father.  She is worth $34.5 billion.



Alice Walton, Sister-in-Law to Christy Walton and only daughter to Sam Walton, founder of Wal-Mart is worth $34.3.  Not only is she incredibly wealthy but is recognised by Times Magazine as one of the most influential people in the world.


Jacqueline Mars, daughter of Forrest Edwards Mars Snr and granddaughter of Frank C Mars, founders of Mars confectionary is worth $20 billion.


Gina Rinehart is the richest person in Australia.  She is the daughter of the late Lang Hancock who was a mining tycoon which she inherited and is often called the "Mining Billionaire".  Gina is worth $17.7 billion.


German-born Susanne Klatten inherited her father's wealth along with her brother Stefan Quant.  She owns stakes in BMW and parmaceutical company Atlanta and is worth $17.4 billion.


Iris Fontana is the richest person in Chile after inheriting her wealth from her husband.  Iris, as well as her family controls Antofagasta which is one of the largest copper mines in the world.  She also controls Chile's largest bank, Banco de Chile, the largest brewery, CCU and the biggest shipping company in Latin America (CSAV).   She is worth $17.4 billion.





Abigail Johnson is the President of Fidelity Investments and is the daughter of American billionaire Edward Johnson III.  She is the most powerful women in the global fund management business and is worth $17.3 billion.


95 year old Anne Cox Chambers is the primary owner of American media company, Cox Enterprises,  which was founded by her father James Middleton Cox .  Anne was also ambassador to Belgium from 1977 - 1981 and is worth $15.5 billion.



Laurence Powell Jobs is the wife of the late, great Steve Jobs and has inherited stakes in Apple, Pixar, Disney and many other small businesses and is worth $14 billion.
