Rule Britannia

The Queen and Prince Philip were in Southampton today to name P&O's new 3600 cruise ship Britannia.  The ship bears the same name as the Queen's former Royal Yacht which was sadly decommissioned in 1997 after more than 40 years in service.

The ship is 141,000 tonnes, has 15 passenger decks, 13 restaurants, 13 bars and four swimming pools and cost almost £0.5 billion to be built.

Britannia begins it's maiden voyage to Spain, Italy and France on the 14th March.
