Burt Lancaster was born this day in New York in 1913. He starred in films such as From Here to Eternity (1953) which went on to become one of the American Film Institutes top 100 most romantic films, Judgment at Nuremberg, The Swimmer and The Professionals co-starring with Lee Marvin (1966). He was also a successful producer.
