On this Day in 1964 ...................


The Beatles played at Bournemouth's Gaumont Cinema (now the Odeon) on Westover Road.    The supporting act was a new band from London called the Kinks.  Apparently it was the start of a mini feud between the 2 groups after Lennon and McCartney made fun of the nervous new band.
