Lili St Cyr

3rd June 1918 - 29th January 1999

American burlesque and striptease dancer, Lili St Cyr was born Willis Marie Van Schaack in Minneapolis in 1918.   Throughout the 1940s and 50s, Lili, with Gypsy Rose Lee and Ann Corio, were the most recognised acts in striptease.  Lili was also known for her pin-up photography especially by those taken by Burno Bernard.

After retiring from the stage in 1970, Lili started up a lingerie business which she would retain an interest in until her death in 1999.
