National Lipstick Day Today in the USA, they are celebrating National Lipstick Day. This year, the lipstick I have my heart set on to buy\or receiving as One's birthday is looming is Christian Dior's Diorific 008 Mitzah. Nasima Akter - Bangladeshi Surfer Girl Meet Bangladesh's first surfer girl, 18 year old, Nasima Akter. This young lady's story has been made into a documentary "The Most Fearless" which will shown at film festivals later in the year. At 9 years old, Nasima was made homeless but found a second family with the surf club at Cox's Bazaar which boasts the world's longest sandy coastline. Nasima found she had a real talent for surfing and she now consistently beats her male rivals in competitions. However, it has not been plain sailing for Nasima and she has had to deal with a hostile reaction from some members of the community as Muslim's believe women should stay out of the water although she does wear traditional garments to respect the local customs. As well as being a pioneer for women's surfing, Nasima has also trained to become Bangladesh's first female lifeguard. One very courageous young lady.
