Heartbreak Hotel 1956



Sixty years ago today, Elvis Presley had his first number one hit with "Heartbreak Hotel".  The song was written by Tommy Durden and Mae Boren Axton and was reportedly written about a lonely man who jumped to his death rom a hotel window.
