80th Anniversary of Lawrence of Arabia's Death
Today marked the 80th anniversary of Thomas Edward Lawrence's death on May 19th 1935. Two months after leaving military service, he was fatally injured on his motorbike near his cottage, Clouds Hill, at Bovington. His funeral was held at the nearby village Moreton and was attended by Winston and Clementine Churchill and E M Forster.
