Tall Ship at Poole Quay today for Harry Paye Day Tomorrow


Harry Paye (died 1419) was our most famous smuggler who went on to become a commander in the Cinque Ports fleet.  He led raids against the French and Spanish and stole a valuable crucifix from a church in Finisterra.
