Pin Striping

I am in awe of anyone who can master the art of freehand pin striping.  The use of pin striping on motorbikes and cars was pioneered by the Kustom Kulture of the 1950s which included artists such as Dean Jefferies (seen below)

This is said artist working on his 1947 Mercury and his childhood sweetheart Carol Lewis.   He also painted "Little Bastard" on the Porche Spyder that James Dean lost his life in as well as creating the moon buggy in the James Bond film Diamonds are Forever.

This form of art continues to be ever popular and doesn't just remain with automobiles.  Skateboards, handbags and even shoes can be seen with pin stripes.
