Top American Model Jean Patchett born on this Day




Iconic Vogue Model, Jean Patchett was born on this day 1926.  Jean modelled from 1948 until she retired in 1963.  According to Jerry Ford of Ford Modelling Agency, Jean was "an absolutely stunning creature with a signature beauty mark, she was a super model decades before the term 'super model' was coined".

Jean was the subject of two of Vogue's most famous covers, January 1950 by Erwin Blumenfeld and April 1950 by Irving Penn.  During her career she appeared on over 40 magazine covers and her face was used in the 1957 film Funny Face.

She died in La Quinta, California on the 3rd February 2002.
