From Field to Fashion - The Story of the Trench Coat

The Gallery at Winchester is holding an exhibition on the history of the trench coat from when it was first created by Thomas Burberry in 1879, from being an essential item of clothing for the soldiers during  WWI, to becoming a major fashion accessory for film stars and super models.  It's definitely worth a visit and hopefully the below will inspire you.  The Exhibition is on until the 21st December.
