Honouring the Land Girls
This week saw the unveiling of an 8ft bronze statue at the National Memorial Arboretum in Stafford to honour the Land Girls role during the war whilst the men were away fighting.
Goodbye to Page 3 Models After over 40 years, the Sun has decided to say goodbye to their Page 3 models. Some of the more successful models have gone on to become household names by moving into music, TV or becoming successful businesswomen. Here we look back at the most popular: Jo Guest was a successful Page 3 and glamour model Lucy Pinder came into prominence in the early 2000s after being discovered by a photographer on Bournemouth beach. She went on to become Britain's most successful glamour model but is now focusing on an acting career. Maria Whittaker was a Page 3 in the 1980s and went on to marry musician Michael West better known as Rebel MC. Melinda Messenger's Page 3 career was cut short when The Sun decided to only model natural girls but she went on to carve a successful TV career and can now be seen co-hosting reality show Cowboy Builders.
