Annie Oakley's Gun and Charm Bracelet being Auctioned Today
An 130 year old shotgun once owned by Annie Oakley (born Phoebe Ann Moses) is expected to fetch at least £60,000 at auction today in Texas.
The 16-guage Parker Brothers Hammer Shotgun has remained in the Oakley family until now. The shotgun comes with its original canvas field scabbard.
Annie Oakley performed for Queen Victoria and Kaiser Wilhem II where she shot a cigarette from his mouth.
Also to be auctioned is a charm bracelet that belonged to Annie, with the earliest charm being an 1873 gold coin which was presented to her by the US Cartridge Company. Starting price on this is also £60,000.
