Ike & Tina Turner Nutbush City Limits Pics+Video






It is the great Tina Turner's birthday today.  Born in 1939, real name Anna Mae Bullock, she was raised in the American South,  but is now a Swiss citizen.

Her musical career began in the 1950s with Ike Turner whom she went on to marry and had a number of hits such as River Deep - Mountain High.   After her divorce, Tina rebuilt her music career and had a now of hits as a solo artist as well as being a successful actress and has gained the reputation as being of the most successful female rock artist.

So girls, ramp up the volume, play it loud, here is one of my favourites, Nutbush City Limits.
