Steampunk hitting the High Street

According to the fashion experts, Steampunk is about to take on the fashion world.   Forecasters are predicting that this blend of retro Victorian London with a touch of H G Wells and Jules Verne fantasy is about to makes its entrance onto the High Street.

Prada's Winter Show featured Gary Oldfield, Jamie Bell and Willem Dafoe wearing steampunk-inspired suits.   As well as Prada, Dior's equestrian themed hats and outfits were reported to have been influenced by Steampunk.

 A number of High Street shops are already stocking the corsets, aviator googles and frock coats which make up this look - it is a really great look particularly for the winter months.
