Vivien Leigh was born 100 years ago today (5/11/1913 - 8/7/1967) and was regarded as one of the greatest beauties of her time.   Her two most famous film roles were as "Southern Belles" Scarlett O'Hara in Gone with the Wind and as Blanche Dubois in a Streetcar Named Desire.



Margaret Mitchell the author of Gone with the Wind was born on the 8th November 1900 in Atlanta, Georgia and died in 1949 after being knocked down by a car.
