Elvis Aaron Presley was born this day in 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi.  Often referred to as the King of Rock N Roll or simply "The King", he became one of the most iconic figures of the 20th Century.  He died in 1977 at his beloved Gracelands.

Yvonne De Carlo (born Margaret Yvonne Middleton - 1st September 1922) died this day in 2007 in LA, California.   As a Canadian-American actress, dancer and singer, she was probably best known for starring as Sephora in The Ten Commandments in 1956 and as Lily Munster in the TV series The Munsters from 1964 - 1966.
